Who Should Attend?: 

This course is designed to be a blend of theory and practical information on press forging die design.  While no specific background is required for attendees, most will find it helpful to have a some drafting and design experience.

Instructors: 

This course is led by Dr. Chester J. Van Tyne, FIERF Professor, Colorado School of Mines.  Assisting Dr. Van Tyne will be lectures from representatives from several leading manufacturing and suppliers of forging equipment.  Comprehensive course material will be provided for as well.

Your fees include course material and certificate (upon completion of course), instructor fees, continental breakfast, lunches, and a hosted reception dinner on the evening of Monday, September 28, 2015.

Arrival/Departure:

Class will commence Monday, September 28, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.  Participants should arrive at 7:30 a.m. for check-in and course materials.  Class will conclude at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015.  Participants should make any scheduled return flights AFTER 3:30 p.m.

Accommodations:

The Residence Inn by Marriott is $135.00 plus tax (currently 15.5%) per night, for single or double occupancy.  Participants are expected to make their own hotel reservations.  To receive the discounted room rate, please call the hotel before Monday, September 7, 2015 and mention the Forging Industry Association.  Participants will pay hotel room charges direct upon departure.  Major credit cards and travel's checks are accepted.

A full refund will be given to any cancellation before Sunday, September 6, 2015, with no refunds thereafter.  Substitutions are allowed with prior notification given to the FIA.
